LIFESCI 3N03 - Human Nutritional Toxicology 3 unit(s)
This course mainly focuses on examining metal toxicity on human systems at the genetic, cellular, biochemical, and physiological levels, as well as discusses the socio-economic and political parameters that impact metal concentrations in local and global environments. In addition, students investigate the potential toxicity of supplements and food products. Lectures (two hours), tutorials (two hours); one term Prerequisite(s): BIOLOGY 2B03 Priority will be given to students in an Honours Life Sciences program.
