EARTH SCI 751 / Environmental Micropaleontology

Microfossils and biogeochemistry as an environmental tool for studying modern and ancient coastal, shelf and lacustrine environments. The course will examine a range of microfossil groups (e.g. ostracodes, diatoms) concentrating on foraminifera and the camoebians. Course will include a small research project that will involve microscope work.
