Prerequisite(s): Must be enrolled in Child Life and Pediatric Psychosocial Care, or have permission of the instructor. All students must have a program to evaluate.
Building on a critical appraisal of evidence-based research, this course focuses on applied methods for translating evidence into practice. Students will explore logic models, various theories and approaches to program evaluations and will examine their functions and implications. Program development will be explored, including change management and use of clinical pathways to inform effective, responsive interventions and services aligned with evaluation outcomes and best practice guidelines. This required course for Stream 1 learners runs for 14 weeks in the Summer Term. This course is offered online.
