BIOLOGY 3IR3 A/B S - Independent Research Project

Students will conduct an independent research study in a faculty member’s laboratory. Students are responsible to arrange a suitable placement and supervision, and are required to submit a form to the Department of Biology in Life Sciences Building, Room 118 thirty days prior to the date classes begin in each Term (see the Sessional Dates section of this Calendar). 8 - 10 hours per week (scheduling arranged by supervisor); one or two term(s)
Prerequisite(s): Registration in Level III or above of any Honours Biology program. BIOLOGY 2L06 A/B (or 2L03) is recommended preparation.
Permission of the Department is required. Students are expected to have a GPA of at least 8.0.
Antirequisite(s): MOLBIOL 3I03 A/B S
Not open to students with credit or registration in any department- or program-based independent study or research seminar course within the University.
