SOCIOL 4WW3 - Critical Indigenous Thought and the Academy
3 unit(s) Indigenous-focused scholarship in the academy has a history of representing Indigenous peoples as social problems. This course examines Indigenous thought in social theory and considers how representations have been disrupted.
Three hours (seminar); one term Prerequisite(s): One of SOCIOL 3FF3, 3H06 A/B and enrolment in Level IV of any Honours Sociology program; enrolment in Level IV of the Indigenous Studies program; or permission of the department. SOCIOL 2EE3 or 2UU3 and/or a background in Indigenous Studies is recommended.
