ECON 1ME3 - Introduction to Mathematical Economics 3 unit(s)
This course is an introduction to mathematical and statistical methods applied in economics. It will improve the mathematical skills required to study intermediate economic theories and analyze economic data. Topics include partial derivatives, optimization, basic probability and statistics, and linear algebra. The mathematical results are illustrated through fundamental economic applications. Two lectures, one tutorial; one term Prerequisite(s): Registration in Economics I; Registration in Social Sciences 1 or Honours Health and Society I and completion of Grade 12 Calculus or MATH 1F03
