This course introduces students to both financial and managerial accounting. It emphasizes the analysis and evaluation of accounting information from the perspective of investors, analysts, and managers in the processes of collecting and interpretating accounting information, managerial planning, and decision-making. The objective is to provide an overview of financial accounting, including basic accounting concepts and principles, the structure of financial statements, and financial statement analysis. The course also introduces the elements of managerial accounting and emphasizes the development and use of accounting information for internal decisions.
