The objective of the course is to introduce students to both the fundamental concepts and practical issues in business, finance and accounting. This course aims to improve students’ skills in interpreting, analysing, and applying accounting and financial information in order to make superior financial decisions. This course will provide students a basic understanding of the fundamentals of
financial reporting as well as preparation, interpretation and analysis of financial statements. The course will also emphasize the following key concepts of financial management: time value of money, stock and bond valuation, risk-return trade-offs, cost of capital, and capital budgeting.
