This course is designed to introduce the basic concepts of prescriptive analytics, which answers the question, “What should we do next?”. This realm of analytics takes into account all possible factors in a scenario, and then recommends the best course (and optimum when possible) course of action. Participants will learn about the most popular prescriptive analytics techniques through hands-on problem-solving and case studies, both of which would be modeled and solved using MS Excel (and an add-in called Analytic Solver Platform). Upon the completion of the course, participants are expected to have developed a basic understanding of the most common prescriptive analytics tools.
