Fundamental concepts and experimental methods in studying both DNA and RNA. Nature of genetic information and its storage. Molecular basis of replication, transcription and translation. Students will be required to participate in a seminar outside of regular class hours.

Prerequisite(s): Credit or registration in one of CHEMBIO 2OG3, CHEM 2OA3, 2OG3, and credit or registration in one of CHEMBIO 2OD3, CHEM 2OB3, 2OD3, and registration in an Honours Biochemistry, Honours Chemical Biology, Honours Molecular Biology and Genetics, or Honours Neuroscience program; or registration in Honours Arts & Science and Biochemistry or Honours Medical and Biological Physics
