Honours Sociology (B.A.)

Admission

Completion of any Level I program with a Cumulative Average of at least 5.0 including a grade of at least C in SOCIOL 1A06 . For continuation in the program, see the section on Minimum Requirements for Entering and Continuing in a Program Beyond Level I  in the-Faculty of Social Sciences Academic Regulations.

Notes

1. Students may take a maximum of six units of Level IV independent research (SOCIOL 4M03 , SOCIOL 4MM6  or SOCIOL 4N03 ).
2. Students should check both this Calendar and the Departmental web-site for prerequisites and course descriptions.
3. Students may take a maximum of nine combined units of SOCIOL 3GG3  and SOCIOL 4GG3 .
4. Students who previously completed SOCIOL 3I03 may substitute this course with SOCIOL 3O03  or SOCIOL 3W03  to satisfy the Advanced Sociological Methods requirement.
5. Students who previously completed SOCIOL 3PP3 may substitute this course for SOCIOL 3A03  or SOCIOL 3P03  to satisfy the Advanced Theory requirement.
6. Students must take a maximum of 12 units of Level IV Sociology.

120 units total (Levels I to IV), of which 48 units may be Level I
