Admission to either the B.H.Sc. (Honours) Health, Engineering Science and Entrepreneurship (HESE) program or one of the B.Eng.BME Biomedical Engineering (BME) programs requires successful completion of all non-elective iBioMed I courses with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0.
Notes
As well as completing the academic requirements as specified in this Calendar, students in a Co-op program must complete IBEHS 1EE0. IBEHS 2EC0 will be added to the academic record for each 4 month work term.
Students enrolled in the Integrated Biomedical Engineering & Health Sciences (iBioMed) program may take up to eight units of research project or independent study courses. A full listing can be found on the iBioMed website.
Students enrolled in a B.Eng.BME program wishing to enrol in a research project or independent study course will require a faculty member supervisor or co-supervisor with an appointment at McMaster University.
Students planning to take IBEHS 4QZ3 should note that IBEHS 3S03 or IBEHS 4C03 is a prerequisite.
Students are free to choose their electives according to their own interests but may consider the following course recommendations for a program of study. Students are responsible for ensuring that they fulfill the prerequisites for each course. Note that courses may be subject to enrollment limitations.
