ANTHROP 2F03 - Introduction to Sociocultural Anthropology: Listening Across Difference

Students will learn about anthropology’s core concepts, theories, methods, and debates. Students will reflect on their own cultural biases and enhance their understanding of, and appreciation for, human difference. Students will apply the tools of anthropology to the analysis of current social problems and imagining of alternative futures: personal and societal.
Lecture (two hours), tutorial (one hour); one term
Prerequisite(s): Registration in Level II or above in any program.
