HTHSCI 3RH3 - Racism and Health 3 unit(s)
This course examines how racism functions as a determinant of health both in the Canadian context and globally. Students will critically consider issues related to the impacts of interpersonal and systemic racism on the health of racialized people and communities, for racialized patients and health care professionals in health care contexts, epistemological racism and injustice, and explore practices of anti-racism in health contexts.
Three hours; one term
Prerequisite(s): Registration in Level 3 or above in any program.
