Students will explore the scientific literature related to dance and health, and examine how dance and movement are used in healing practices in various settings and cultures around the world. Topics may include: dance and dance therapy in health care; biomechanics and anatomy of dance and injury; the use of dance for emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing; Indigenous healing practices involving dance and movement.
