NEUROSCI 3MN3 - Computational Models in Neuroscience

3 unit(s)
Students will study the role of model-building in neuroscience. They will learn about influential models of the brain and mind and work directly with them in code. Topics will include electrical models of the neuron, connectionist models of learning, and models of vision and information transmission.
One lecture (one hour), one laboratory (two hours, weekly); one term
Prerequisite(s): One of PNB 2XB3 , LIFESCI 2CC3 , or ISCI 2A18 A/B ; and one of COMPSCI 1MD3 , MATH 1MP3 , or PNB 2A03 ; or permission of the Instructor
