BIOCHEM 3GN3 - Biochemical and Molecular Foundations of Genetics 3 unit(s)
This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the biochemical and molecular mechanisms underlying genetic flow of information, gene structure, functionality, and inheritance mechanisms. Students will also be introduced to applied genomics and explore its practical applications in studying biological and biomedical phenomenon from metabolism, to development, and cancer.
Lectures (three hours); one term
Prerequisite(s): BIOLOGY 1A03 , 1M03 ; or ISCI 1A24 A/B ; and registration in an Honours Biochemistry program.
