Admission


Enrolment in this program is limited and possession of minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Selection is based on academic achievement but requires as a minimum, completion of Honours Integrated Science I with a Grade Point Average of at least 5.0.

Program Notes


  1. All students are strongly encouraged to meet with the Academic Program Advisor in the School of Earth, Environment & Society to discuss program requirements and course selections.
  2. Students are strongly encouraged to check prerequisites for upper-level Earth Science or Environmental Science courses. The prerequisites should be considered when selecting your courses.
  3. The field components of EARTHSC 3FE3 , ENVIRSC 3ME3  are normally taken outside of the normal term. Details are announced in March.
  4. Students intending to seek admission to graduate school are strongly recommended to complete EARTHSC 3FE3  or ENVIRSC 3ME3 .
  5. It is strongly recommended that thesis work performed in ISCI 4A12 A/B  is in a research field associated with a student’s concentration.
  6. In order to meet the Compulsory Foundation Science and Geoscience requirements for the Professional Geoscientist Certification (P.Geo), students are encouraged to consult with the Academic Program Advisor in the School of Earth, Environment & Society to ensure proper selection of courses for professional registration. The Honours programs offered by the School of Earth, Environment & Society may not fulfill professional registration requirements.
